This is to inform all candidates who have applied for admission into the Federal University of Technology, Minna for the 2011/2012 academic session that the Post-UTME screening exercise will commence on Monday 15th August, 2011 at the University Main Campus, Gidan-kwano.

1. Eligibility
i. Only candidates who selected the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna as their first or second choice University are eligible for this screening exercise.

ii. Candidates expected to register for this screening exercise are those who scored NOT LESS than the indicated minimum for various Schools/Courses/Programmes (Please click here for the cut-off mark for various courses)

iii. Candidates whose UTME score is below the minimum for their chosen course are eligible to register for any other course provided they attain the minimum score for that course.

iv. However, all candidates must have the prescribed subject combinations in the UTME required for admission into the proposed course/programme as prescribed in the JAMB brochure.

v. Direct Entry candidates must possess an Ordinary National Diploma or Higher National Diploma with Lower Credit (minimum) or National Certificate of Education with Merit (minimum) from Federal Government approved Polytechnics/Monotechnics/Colleges of Education. Candidates with GCE ‘A/Level’ or IJMB ‘A/Level’ must possess minimum of two subjects at credit passes or five points respectively.

vi. All candidates must possess a minimum of five O/Level credits including Mathematics and English language in WASCE/ NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings in subjects relevant to their proposed courses and obtained not earlier than 2007. 2. Method of Registration
i. All candidates must either possess a valid e-mail address or create one for the purpose of the online registration for the screening exercise.

ii. Candidates should go to any of the following designated Banks (First Bank Plc., UBA Plc., Union Bank Plc., Oceanic Bank Plc., Bank PHB Plc.,
Intercontinental Bank Plc., Guarantee Trust Bank Plc., Zenith Bank Plc.) and pay to “FUTMINNA POST – UTME ACCOUNT” through e-Tranzact platform at the cost of ₦1,000.00 (excluding bank charges) only.
iii. The Bank will issue a receipt containing a receipt number and Confirmation order number which will be used by the candidate for the on-line registration.

iv. Candidates are directed to visit the homepage of the University website: www.futminna.edu.ng for details on the procedure for on-line registration, requirements for the screening exercise and other general information.

Note: Candidates are strongly advised to commence registration immediately as the University website will be closed for registration at midnight of Saturday 13th August, 2011. Payment in Bank closes on 12th August 2011.

3. Procedure for Registration
To enable a successful completion of the registration process:
1. A UTME candidate must have selected FUT, Minna as his/her 1st or 2nd choice most preferred University, have attained the minimum UTME score for his/her selected course/programme as indicated above in the table under the heading Eligibility and have obtained a payment receipt with a Confirmation order number from any of the designated Banks listed above.

2. A Direct Entry candidate must have selected FUT, Minna as his/her 1st or 2nd choice most preferred University and have obtained a payment receipt with a Confirmation order number from any of the designated Banks listed above

4. Requirements for the Screening Exercise

All eligible candidates are required to come on the scheduled date to the Convocation Arena at the University Main Campus at Gidan-kwano along Minna-Bida road with the following:
i. A clean copy of 2011/2012 – UTME result (UTME candidates only)
ii. Evidence of JAMB registration (IJMB candidates only).
iii. The printed 2011 Post-UTME scheduling slip affixed with a recent coloured passport photograph.
iv. A writing material (biro or pencil).
v. A simple calculator (non-programmable) without cover.
6. General Information
i. No candidate will be allowed to participate in the screening exercise without complying with the above requirements.
ii. The Main Campus at Gidan Kwano along Minna-Bida road is about 20 kms away from the Bosso Campus of the University which is inside Minna town.

Candidates without personal vehicles may board commercial buses at the rate of N50 at the Bus Park inside the Bosso Campus of the University.

iii. Candidates are not allowed to bring GSM handsets or similar electronic gadgets into the screening hall. Such item(s) will be seized and will not be returned to the owners.

iv. Impersonation is a serious offence and anyone caught impersonating will be handed over to the law enforcement agents.

v. Any registered candidate who fails to report for the screening exercise on the date specified on the print-out automatically loses his or her chance of being considered for admission.

vi. The screening exercise shall be computer based.

vii. Candidates are advised to arrive at the convocation arena at the Main Campus, Gidan Kwano on the scheduled date for the screening exercise at least one hour prior to the scheduled time.

viii. Biometric data of the candidates shall be captured before the
commencement of the screening exercise.

University of Ibadan 1. The University of Ibadan, Ibadan, hereby requests all candidates who made the University their First Choice Most Preferred Institution in the 2011/2012 UTME and scored 200 and above, to submit the results of their SSCE WAEC/NECO or equivalent certificate ONLINE directly through http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng on or before 17th August, 2011.

2. Candidates who are expecting the release of their ‘O’ level results CANNOTparticipate in the 2011/2012 Admissions Exercise, until such results are released. SSCE (or equivalent) results released after 31 August, 2011 will not be considered for the 2011/2012 Admissions Exercise.

3. Instructions:-

A (i) Candidates are to pay N2,000.00 into U.I Admission Processing Fee Account (See details below) at any of the branches of the banks nationwide:

The teller should have SURNAME and initials of the candidate as in the UTME result slip preceeded by the JAMB Registration number, as the payee.

Name and JAMB Registration Number should be quoted in the depositor’s name at the point of payment (in bank). The following format could be adopted:

(ii) Consequent upon payment of the Processing fee of N2,000.00 at the banks, candidates are expected to submit their Teller numbers online. This should be done by logging-in on http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng with the JAMB Registration number and submission of a valid e-mail address.

(iii) Candidates will receive username and password through their e-mail addresses within 24 hours of submission.

(iv) Candidates are then expected to log-in onto http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng to submit their biodata and O’level results.

(v) Candidates should ensure that the on-line forms are carefully filled, following ALL necessary instructions, as “mistake(s)” may lead to disqualification.

B (i) Please fill the on-line forms in CAPITAL letters only.

(ii) Multiple submissions may lead to disqualification.

(iii) Bonafide applicants can return to the portal, until 17th August 2011 to edit/complete their previous entries or otherwise review and print their submissions. Please ensure that you click “FINAL SUBMISSION” before printing.

(iv) Kindly use functional E-mail addresses and Telephone numbers to enable the University to reach you in the course of the Admission exercise, whenever the need arises.

(v) Candidates are expected to upload their passport photographs and signature.The image format for the passport and signature is JPEG and must not exceed 20KB.

Names of short listed candidates for the Interactive/Screening Session will be displayed on the University’s Website at a date to be announced later.

4. Candidates should please note that it is only when an ‘O’ level result is deficient for a course of choice, that another deficient result may be presented to compliment the deficient one. Candidates presenting two ‘O’ level results (6 credits at 2 Sittings) should ensure that, the comprehensive details of both results are submitted.

5. The deadline for submission of ‘O’ level results may not be extended. Any candidate whose results are not submitted at the stipulated time may not be considered for admission.

6. Misrepresentation of documents is a serious offence. Candidates are therefore advised to submit genuine documents only. Any one found guilty of this offence will be disqualified automatically and may be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agents.

The University of Uyo hereby invites to a Screening Exercise candidates who made the University their 1st Choice in the 2011 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), and made a total score of 180 and above. The schedule of the Post-UTME Screening Exercise start from August 23 to 27th.

3. No GSM handsets, calculators or any other extraneous materials should be brought into the screening hall.

All candidates who chose the Rivers State University of Science and Technology as their 1st choice University during the 2011 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are hereby requested to take note of the following:-

i. The screening exercise for admission of candidates will be administered only on candidates who chose RSUST as their first choice University.

ii. Candidates who chose RSUST as their second choice are not expected to apply.

iii Candidates who scored 180 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are qualified for the screening exercise in all the Faculties of the University.

iv. Candidates must possess the basic five (5) O’ level credit passes in accordance with the University’s Entry Requirements (Faculty /Departmental) before applying for the screening Exercise.

v Candidates who qualify for the screening exercise are required to buy scratch cards at the sum of N2, 500.00 from the following Banks on campus:-

viii Candidates are to note that the mode of screening exercise is ELECTRONIC. It is important that candidates practice how to use the computer especially the use of mouse and keyboard before they turn up for the screening exercise. In addition, the Information Technology Centre (ITC) may be conducting a 1-week demonstration session prior to the examination date to candidates for the screening exercise.

vix The closing date for the registration of the Post-UTME screening exercise is as follows:

a. Tuesday, 16th August, 2011 sale of scratch cards ends.

b. Wednesday, 17th August, 2011 Online registration ends.

SCHEDULE FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE

The Post-UTME screening exercise will take place from Thursday 18th to Friday 19th August, 2011 at the Information Technology Centre (ITC) of the University. Candidates are requested to please note that the Post-UTME screening exercise is as scheduled in the screening exercise slip they printed out after their online registration. The scheduled date, time and venue shall be indicated in the Post-UTME examination slip.

Consideration will not be given to candidates who fail to appear for the screening exercise on the scheduled date and time. All candidates for the screening exercise are required to come to the examination venue with their Post-UTME exam slip printed out during the online Post-UTME registration.

Candidates should note that GSM phones will not be allowed into the Examination hall during the Post-UTME screening exercise.

Parents, Guardians and Well-wishers are advised to stay away from the venue of the screening exercise

Candidates must report at the examination venue one (1) hour before the scheduled exam time on their exam slip.

B. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Holders of WASC, SSCE, NECO or GCE O/L with five (5) relevant credit level passes must include English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings and who must in addition, satisfy the departmental requirements are eligible to apply. Prospective candidates are also advised in their own interest to obtain information guide on departmental entry requirements from the Secretary, Centre for Continuing Education (CCE). Candidates with higher qualifications such as NCE (Credit Level Pass), OND/ND (Upper Credit Level Classification) or HND are eligible for direct entry admissions or placement on Advanced Standing, provided that such candidates also satisfy general requirements for admission. C. METHOD OF APPLICATION

Payments for Application Forms for all programmes should be made through purchase of appropriate scratch cards for the sum of N9, 500.00 (Nine Thousand Five Hundred Naira) . This amount covers N5, 500.00 for application forms and N4, 0000.00 for University Screening test. Thereafter, applicants should download the forms online at the University website (www.ust.edu.ng) for completion as appropriate.

Purchase of application scratch cards should be made only at RSUST/Nkpolu Micro-Finance Bank on campus.

D. SUBMISSION OF FORMS

Completed on-line application forms should be downloaded and submitted to the CCE Centre not later than 5th August, 2011, together with the under-listed items:

1. Two passport photographs

2. Two photocopies of Birth Certificate or Age Declaration

3. Two photocopies of academic qualification(s)

E. SCREENING TEST

Candidates are to note that mode of the screening test is ELECTRONIC.

Candidates are therefore advised to practice the use of the computer especially the use of the mouse and keyboard before they turn up for the screening test.

Candidates who are interested to use the computer service at the ICT Centre of RSUST for the purpose are advised to visit the Centre one week before the examination for a free training on the use of Mouse and Keyboard.
